OZZY OSBOURNE Fan Bids $20,000 To Get On An Episode Of 'The Osbournes'
May 6, 2004Laura Gwiazdon, a 25-year-old OZZY OSBOURNE fan from Grand Chute, Wisconsin bid $20,100 in an eBay auction to get on an episode of "The Osbournes", according to The Post-Crescent. She is being flown to Los Angeles next week to film an episode of "The Osbournes" that will air on MTV at a yet-to-be-determined date.
"I've been a fan since I was about 2 years old," Gwiazdon said of her motivation for making the bid.
"I don't exactly have $20,000 laying around but I know I can manage it," Gwiazdon, who works for a local pizza shop, said. "I've been in credit-card debt before and got out of it. I can pay my bills."
The money Gwiazdon bid will be going to the Uganda Children’s Charity Foundation, a nonprofit group that raises funds to help in the fight against AIDS in Africa.
Gwiazdon, who has seen OZZY OSBOURNE in concert five times in the last seven years and watches "The Sharon Osbourne Show" each morning, said she has no one to answer to when it comes to her finances.
"It's my money, and I'll do what I want with it," she said.
